Płońsk during World War II in photographs from the IPN Archive. Lecture by Konrad Ślusarski

On Saturday, January 25, at 1 p.m., we would like to invite you to the first lecture this year at the Memorial House – a presentation by Konrad Wiesław Ślusarski entitled “Płońsk during World War II in photographs from the collections of the Archive of the Institute of National Remembrance in Warsaw”.

The lecture will be devoted to photos of Płońsk during World War II, which are in the collections of the Archive of the Institute of National Remembrance. Presented will be mainly photographs from the album of Gestapo officer Hermann Baltruschat, but also from other collections.

Admission to the lecture is free, the number of places is limited.

The lecture will be held in Polish.

Konrad Wiesław Ślusarski – graduate of archeology at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University, historian, since 2002 an employee of the Archive of the Institute of National Remembrance in Warsaw. Research interests: history of World War II, aerial photography, historical photography. Author of scientific and popular science texts published in magazines and books. Co-author and one of the editors of the publication “Zbiór fotografii byłej Głównej Komisji Badania Zbrodni przeciwko Narodowi Polskiemu – Instytutu Pamięci Narodowej. Tom 1-2 ” [“Collection of photographs of the former Main Commission for the Investigation of Crimes against the Polish Nation – Institute of National Remembrance. Volume 1-2”] (published in Warsaw 2019). Participant in numerous campaigns popularizing the Archive of the Institute of National Remembrance and its resources.
