Every year, representatives of the Płońsk local government, young people from Płońsk schools and representatives of local government institutions participate in the March of the Living taking place in Oświęcim. Twice, on April 10, 2013 and April 15, 2018, Płońsk hosted a group of several hundred participants and organizers of the 22nd and 27th March of the Living, who came to Płońsk at the invitation of the city’s local government authorities.
The celebrations were attended by the authorities of Płońsk and the Płońsk district, young people from Płońsk schools and representatives of the local community of Płońsk, young people from Israel, the USA and France, as well as official domestic and foreign delegations of participants of the March of the Living. In 2013, during a meeting in Płońsk, a ceremonial naming of the square where the Grün family house stood and where the first Prime Minister of Israel was born, took place and the square was officially named after David Ben-Gurion.
In 2018, the international meeting was also devoted to the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the State of Israel.
