“Strength, Identity, Community. Jewish Sport in Interwar Poland”. Opening of the temporary exhibition on 5 December

On Friday, 5 December, at 3:00 pm, at the Memorial House we are opening a new temporary exhibition “Strength, Identity, Community. Jewish Sport in Interwar Poland”, prepared by the Museum of Sport and Tourism in Warsaw.

The exhibition explores topics still little known and reminds us that clubs named Makabi, Hapoel, Hakoah, Bar Kochba, Hasmonea, and Hagibor were common in prewar Poland. The author of the concept of the exhibition and its curator is Dr. Robert Gawkowski, who will also be a guest at Friday’s event at the Memorial House.

The exhibition, available in Polish, will be open until January 17, 2026.
