Hebrew language workshop with Regina Gromacka on 27 September

On Saturday, September 27th, at 12:00 PM, we would like to invite you to the Memorial House for a Hebrew language workshop conducted by Regina Gromacka.

During the workshop, we will explore the history of the Hebrew language over the last three thousand years, learn some of the letters of the alphabet, become familiar with the word reading system, learn the pronunciation of basic Hebrew phrases, and also try writing our own names in Hebrew!

Regina Gromacka is an orientalist, Hebrew teacher, and lecturer at the University of Warsaw. She also works as a translator, editor, and consultant, and leads research tours of Jewish monuments. Her translations from Hebrew include: “The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem” by Sarit Yishai-Levi, several novels by David Grossman, fragments of the Sokołów Podlaski Memorial Book and the Węgrów Memorial Book, as well as “Diary from the Warsaw Ghetto” by Chaim Aron Kapłan.
