Welcome to the website of the Płońsk Memorial House

Summer holidays in the Memorial House: new exhibition, workshops and James Archivist

The summer holidays awaited by all children are approaching fast, and at the Memorial House we have prepared a special offer of workshops for young residents of Płońsk from summer holiday groups:

👉 genealogy workshops, during which, based on the vital records regarding the family of David Ben-Gurion, we will learn about the work of a genealogist, and we will also try to create family trees of our own families

👉 art workshops, during which we will create collages related to Płońsk, David Ben-Gurion and his family

And for those who like board games, we have something special!

👉 On July 4 and 8, we invite you to meetings with archivists from the State Archives in Płock, during which we will play the board game “James Archivist with a License for Document Disposal”. This is a new game created by the State Archives, which aims to familiarize participants with the profession of an archivist and popularize it, but also (or perhaps above all) it’s great fun! Magdalena Młodziejewska from the State Archives in Płock, who was part of the game’s design team, will also tell us about the game’s creation, the secrets of archivists’ work and the treasures that we can find in the archives.

👉 from the beginning of July, our new temporary exhibition entitled “Brodman/Gryn. Dawid Ben-Gurion and his family in the light of vital records” will also be available in the Memorial House.

👉 Registration is required for the workshops in the Memorial House, the number of places is limited (all workshops and meetings conducted in Polish). We encourage guardians of the holiday groups to contact us and schedule your visits!
